Exploring Events

These events are intended for or sponsored by youth enrolled in the Exploring programs.  To participate, contact your post advisor or area Executive.

Awards and Recognition Dinner
Where: Millenium Student Center, University of Missouri--St. Louis
When: Tuesday, June 3 at 6:30 p.m.
Cost: $15 per person

Join us for an elegant dinner and awards ceremony at UMSL to recognize youth and adult leaders. All Learning for Life particiants are invited to attend, including Explorers, post advisors and teachers and principals involved in our school-based character education program. National Law Enforcement Conference
Where:  Colorado State University at Ft. Collins, CO
When: June 21-26, 2008

Cost: $350/person

National Mock Trial Competition
Where:  University of Massachusettes at Lowell, MA
When: July 23-27, 2008

Cost: $375/person

Gain hands-on courtroom experience in an official mock trial, tour Boston, and make new friends at this competition. Participants role-play as attorneys, plantiffs, defendants and witnesses. The fee covers all meals, housng accomadations, and extracurricular activities. For more information on the competition, click here.

 

Challenger Learning Center Summer Space Adventures
Where: Challenger Learning Center

Cost: Varies

Youth of all ages are invited to attend these mini space camps conducted by the Challenger Learning Center. Attend Astronaut Training Camp or a one-day Space Adventure. Participation is limited, so sign up now. Click here to see the event flyer with contact information.

 

Swift Promotion and Service Project
Where:  Swift Base, S bar F Scout Ranch
When:  May 30-31
Come to Swift for dancing, food, games and camaraderie!
