National Learning
for Life Conference
Where: San Diego, California
Town and Country Resort and Hotel
When: March 10-12, 2009

Learning for Life leaders and volunteers will have
an opportunity to attend workshops and hear dynamic speakers throughout this
three-day event. Attend this dynamic event to learn new ideas, techniques,
information, education, and inspiration about character and career education.
The conference will also feature ventriloquist Ronn Lucas as entertainment.

Drug Enforcement Association: July 4-11 (Washington, DC)
U.S. Marshals Service: July 11-18 (Washington, DC)
U.S. Army Military Police: July 11-18 (Ft. Leonard Wood,
Missouri)
Secret Service: July 18-25 (Washington, DC)
These academies promise to be a fantastic way for youth
interested in law enforcement to gain hands-on experience and build their

National Health/Science
Careers Conference
Where: Bethesda, Maryland
National Institutes of Health
When: July22-25, 2009
Cost: $460 per person, which includes meals, conference materials and extracurricular
activities. Participants must cover their own travel expenses.

This four-day conference will have participants attending
interactive seminars, touring research facilities and laboratories, and much
more. The seminars will focus on the wide variety of health and science career
options available in medicine, biology, dentistry, chemistry, nursing, physics,
veterinary medicine, allied health, archaeology, osteopathy, optometry, and
