Area 93 would like to welcome the new members to the area committee:
Curtis Brennecke, the Broadcast Video Specialist with Rockwood School District, brings valuable experience as a former district executive with the Boy Scouts of America. He has experience working with Exploring posts.
Randy Dillon, the Director of Technical Education for the Special School District of Saint Louis County, invited Dr. Larson to speak to the technical education group. Dr. Larson handed out Exploring materials to the group. Thanks, Randy, for that opportunity.
Greg Holthouse, with Burns & McDonnell, will join our initiative to increase the number of skilled trades and engineering Exploring posts.
Pam Krodinger is the Career and Technical Education Coordinator for the Instructional Services Center with Parkway School District. Welcome to the team, Pam.
Bob Kuntz, Ballwin City Administrator, has joined the team and offered several ideas to explore. We are so happy to have him on board.
Kim Litzau is the supervisor of Rockwood’s Partners in Education. Litzau has already helped us to connect with several area businesses at Rockwood’s annual Eighth Grade Career Fair. Thanks, Kim!
Cathy Lorenz, associate principal at Rockwood Summit High School, is leading the teaching post project. She has helped connect us with the Rockwood high schools to discuss starting teaching Exploring posts. Thanks, Cathy!
Eleanor Phillips, special education teacher at Rockwood Summit Middle School, introduced the Learning for Life curriculum to Rockwood Summit and it has been a huge success.
Dr. Jim Sandfort, Lindbergh School District Superintendent, will soon retire but we hope that he doesn’t skip town on us. We are very excited to have his years of experience and knowledge as a part of our committee.
Of course, all of this is possible only through the
hard work and dedication of Dr. Craig Larson. As the Area 93 chairman, Dr.
Larson has built this team from one member to 9 in just a matter of months.
Thanks, Dr. Larson!
